Compliance Reference

The standards we're actually audited against

Three frameworks come up most often with our clients and partners — social-compliance audits under RBA/SMETA, hostel standards under Akta 446, and workplace safety under OSHA. Here's how each one shapes what we actually do.

Social Compliance

RBA & SMETA

Buyer-driven social-compliance audits are now a routine part of doing business with international manufacturers. This is the benchmark set we build our worker management system against.

Audited Annually

RBA VAP Audit

Responsible Business Alliance Validated Audit Process — the standard most electronics and manufacturing buyers require of their labour suppliers.

2 & 4-Pillar

SMETA

Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit, covering labour standards, health & safety, environment and business ethics.

Retail-Aligned

HIGG FEM / FSLM

Environmental and social facility modules used widely across the apparel and footwear supply chain.

Certifiable

SA8000

Social Accountability International's certifiable standard for decent working conditions.

EU Aligned

EU CSDDD

Supply chain due diligence support under the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and Germany's LkSG.

Ongoing

Buyer Audits

Direct client and second-party audits, scheduled and unannounced, supported with ready documentation.

Worker Housing

Akta 446

Malaysia's Employees' Minimum Standards of Housing, Accommodations and Amenities Act (Akta 446) sets the legal floor for worker housing. We build to it and generally above it.

Fully Compliant

JTKSM Compliance

Minimum space per person, sanitation, ventilation and safety requirements, licensed and inspected.

RBA Aligned

RBA Housing Standards

International benchmarks for worker housing, dignity and freedom of movement layered on top of the statutory minimum.

Above & Beyond

Andaraya Welfare Code

Our own internal standard, going further than the law to ensure workers feel genuinely cared for, not just legally housed.

Workplace Safety

OSHA

Malaysia's Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA 1994) governs workplace safety obligations for both employers and principal contractors — directly relevant wherever our placed workers are on a client's site or one of our own construction projects.

Site-Level

Safety Induction

Every placed worker receives site-specific safety induction before their first shift, documented and signed off.

PPE Provided

Protective Equipment

Role-appropriate PPE issued and tracked, with replacement schedules built into our welfare monitoring.

Incident Ready

Reporting & Response

Incident reporting procedures aligned with DOSH requirements, with escalation paths defined in advance, not improvised.
